Mckinney Food Tour

S

o who wants to go back to Mckinney with me because I had the best time touring with We Ate Well Food Tours!

I would’ve never thought about going here if it wasn’t for them. I encourage everyone that lives in Dallas to do this at least once with friends, especially if you love food like me! It was the most perfect activity to do on a weekend. You guys can get $10 off using code TheDallasYum!

This food tour takes you walking to different places in downtown Mckinney, each spot you go to has history, quirkiness and most importantly food. The Food Tour we took started by going to a Food Network Award winning market called Patina Green Home & Market.

With just one bite of what seems like and ordinary sandwich youre life is going to be changed! The Food Network awarded the chef with having one of the best menu items in TEXAS which was the ham and cheese sandwich!

This place was our favorite place in the whole tour, and we loved it so much we came back at the end and took items to-go! Also, you cant leave without going to their bathroom. Its everything.

Next up, we walked on over to HARVEST SEASONAL KITCHEN that is a local farm-to-table restaurant.

This restaurant is so unique and has the most beautiful rustic finishings. If I lived closer I would have an intimate dinner dates here. P.S when its small group they let you sit by the kitchen while the prepare the food for you in their open kitchen concept. Talk about the real Chefs Table experience.

After that we were ready for some wine, and went to LANDON WINERY this locally-owned winery consistently earns 5-star reviews and awards. We had a mini tasting  here and it was so fun!

Wednesday's the have half priced bottles and the best thing about this tour is that you get a discount if you want to purchase anything at each location. So snag some bottles of wine on your way out! So worth it.

By your next stop you’ll be getting full but no need to worry! I know you will still eat it and love it! CADILLAC PIZZA PUB had the yummiest BBQ pizza we’ve ever had.

This neighborhood and award-winning pizza pub is known not only for its wood-fired pies, but also its craft brews, live music and family-friendly atmosphere. Once you finish devouring every singe last bite you get to walk around and digest the food while you go on a mini shopping spree at different markets and shops.

ETTIENE MARKET was super cute and we were able to try some local maple honey. This market was was named best in Dallas by D Magazine and I realized why! Their pantry runneth over with beautiful accessories for every kitchen need and tasty spices, Texas oils, honeys and jams. I wanted to buy it all!

FAIR & SQUARE IMPORTS was an even more unique experience as we shopped around from gifts all over the world. This fair trade shop offers so much but we were able to have a little chocolate tasting here and it was so good. The cocoa from this chocolate is actually fair trade cocoa and you feel the love each person poured into each of the gifts sold here.

We ended the tour with coffee at FILTERED which was fitting because I was almost in a food coma after this tour. However, the coffee definitely woke me up and gave me the energy to get home! We were able to have latte that was delicious and it was the perfect way to end the tour. So yeah next time you want to do something fun with a group of friends  other than going out to drink, this is 100% the thing you should do!

Thank you We Ate Well Food Tours for having us!
